Please update to 1.7.6 to see if it works. Custom cache location actually was broken in version 1.7.5. It’s a pleasure to look at my mac’s desktop now :) ! My suggestion to the author of this app would be to set the default download folder to something other than the “Pictures” folder on the Mac. Once this was done the app was downloading Bing pictures to that folder and they were kept separate from my personal Pictures.
That can be fixed by making sure that the folder you select is writable - either by running a ‘chmod’ command using terminal or going to Finder, selecting GetInfo and then Sharing and Permnissions. Once I did that, however, I started getting an error saying that this app could not write to that folder. In macOS Mojave or later, you can also choose from Dynamic Desktop images, which automatically change throughout the day based on the time of day in your location. That can be done through this application’s settings in the “Cache” section. From the Desktop pane, select a folder of images on the left, then click an image on the right to change your desktop picture. The solution was to change this app to download Bing pictures to a folder other than the one Google Drive was using. What made Sherlock very different from the previous Find File was that it could search the contents of documents (but which also required an indexing of all documents or a selection of documents).

Love Bing’s daily pictures but don’t use Bing. Download and run fetch-macOS.py in a terminal to download the Catalina recovery image from the Apple software distribution server (this can be run on Linux, Proxmox, or on a Mac): This results in a 500MB BaseSystem.dmg file in the current directory.
